It’s been a while since I’ve posted; I know. I got a new job, and I’ve been sick for 8.5 weeks now, so updating hasn’t been a priority. But I did want to post my favorite bit from the start of my nano. I didn’t get much done on it tonight (way short of the goal of 1667), but my goals this year have less to do with 50K than they do with getting back into the swing of writing and with having fun.
Not for the first time Maribeth considered yelling something out the window, something cutting and clever like her friend Jane would say. Save it for Ricki Lake, maybe, or, If you do not shut up, you won’t need to make any decisions ever again. Except much more clever. Maribeth didn’t know if Ricki Lake was even still around. Jane would know, but if she wasn’t around, Jane would laugh. God, Ricki Lake was a chick, right?
